Dr. Salena Akter completed her LLB (Hons) and LLM from University of Dhaka. Thereafter, she accomplished her Ph. D. from the University of Dhaka. She is an expert in Personal Laws which encompasses Inheritance, Divorce and Dower, Maintenance and other Welfare issues of the Female. She is a trainer of Bangladesh Civil Service officers in the Personal Laws area. She has been working as a human rights activist especially for welfare of female and children. She is a founder and patron of different welfare organizations. Dr. Salena Akter got enrolled in Bangladesh Bar Council and became a member of Dhaka Bar Association in 2008. She got permission to practice in the High Court Division of Supreme Court of Bangladesh in 2013.
